We ordered a lot of dishes for a party of 8 for take out. All was hot, good portions, everything was delicious and got lots of compliments. We fly in to see family twice a year and can't find good Chinese food where we live, so this has been a newish treat for us.

We usually take our friends here because it's really easy to park and also you can find something for everyone. I don't normally like eating chinese in WC because it's expensive and Americanized but Peony stays fairly authentic. Staff is great with kids and portions are plenty. I was looking for a restaurant to take my mom out for her birthday. She really doesn't like restaurants, so I had to find the right one. She likes small, shared plates and she likes Asian food. I thought dim sum would be appropriate. I was delighted when this restaurant was suggested to me as I wanted a restaurant that had a nice ambiance as well. The outdoor back patio here is lovely! There's a fountain, and the restaurant also sits above the creek. In their back patio, you're surrounded by trees, and you kind of forget that you're near downtown Walnut Creek. The outdoor dining here is a treat. The small plates were also exactly what we were looking for. We got an array to share, and then we ordered two main dishes after we were through with the dim sum. My mom picked out an eggplant dish that was the star of the meal. Every since then, we regularly try to order eggplant at Chinese restaurants, but no one has done it as well Peony Garden. We've gotta go back for that. Although, we've only been here the one time, we still talk about it a lot. My husband and I really enjoyed our dining experience here, both for the outdoor dining setting and their dishes! We'll have to go back soon, but we always want to try new places.

Came in for dinner, so glad I did. The food came super fast and it was delish. Service was excellent. I was not able to finish my dish and they packed it go for me. It is a beautiful place,dim lights. Plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. There's a bar. This is a hidden gem. I ordered their special purple yam bao. It was delish. Different taste from what I'm used to and so pretty to eat. I also had bbq pork chow mein, it was delish too. I'm full and had leftovers to go. Def coming back.thank you

Thanksgiving lunch delicious with hot dim sum, juicy shanghai dumplings, steamed pork buns, sticky rice in lotus leaves. Service fast on holiday.

Everything was so fresh and delicious. The chow mein was not oily and had good flavor. The general Tso chicken was super good. We ordered through door dash so I cannot speak to the service of the staff.

Excellent. I'm surprised I did know about this place before. It's literally next to the Las Lomas High School Across from Kaiser on Main Street. They have a private parking lot, street parking and an outdoor seating area that overlooks the creek. The decor is wonderful. Service here was great too. Food, was great. I didn't know they did dim sum dishes. I took a few photos of what we got there. Great date night place too. I added this as one of the better dim sum places to go in my dim sum bookmarks. I definitely planning on coming back, perhaps for dinner. Delicious dim sum.
